The Ice Bucket Challenge is sweeping the nation on social media and now, Governor Mary Fallin has gotten in on the action.
On the south side of the statehouse, Governor Fallin took a seat and waited for the deluge.
After a countdown, an assistant tips the jug full of ice water over, dumping the governor with ice cold water on the hot August day.
Governor Fallin posted the video on her Facebook page and then nominated OU President David Boren and football coach Bob Stoops, OSU President Burns Hargis and football coach Mike Gundy to take the challenge.
The social media campaign that seems to be everywhere has reportedly led to the ALS Association receiving $15.6 million in a little more than two weeks. Last year, ALSA reports it raised $1.8 million in the same time period.
On Monday, Fox 25's Jessi Stone and Rebecca Schleicher took the challenge. Watch it happen here.
