Gov. Mary Fallin To Headline OSU Energy Conference

The Seventh Annual Oklahoma State University Energy Conference will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. April 23 at the Cox Business Convention Center in Oklahoma City. The event is offered by the Department of Finance and the Center for Executive and Professional Development in the Spears School of Business at OSU.
The conference will cover developments in federal policy, the progress of the Horizontal Mississippian Oil Play, the latest technologies in fracking, green energy myths debunked, the future of energy in Oklahoma, the transformation of America's energy supply, domestic oil production, and global impacts of LNG exports from the United States.
Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin will headline the event, which will include key speakers Robert Bryce, senior fellow of Manhattan Institute, and Commissioner Tony Clark of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Griff Jones, president and CEO of Twin Eagle Resource Management, LLC, will be event moderator.
"Once again, the OSU Energy Conference is offering a tremendous, thought provoking list of distinguished speakers," Jones said. "Attendees will have the benefit of listening to some of our great Oklahoma energy company's views on events unfolding in our nation's energy industry in addition to guests from around the country that will offer their views as well."
Additional speakers include Tom Choi, national practice leader in gas, Deloitte MarketPoint, Washington, D.C.; Marc Edwards, senior vice president in completion and production division, Halliburton, Houston; Jeff Hume, vice chairman of strategic growth initiatives, Continental Resources, Oklahoma City.
Also, Ann Oglesby, executive, Phillips 66, Houston; Thomas Petrie, chairman of Petrie Partners, LLC, Denver; Tom Ward, chairman and CEO, SandRidge Energy, Oklahoma City; and Bill Whitsitt, executive vice president, public affairs, Devon Energy Corp., Oklahoma City.
