I ask for your vote
Dear Friend,
Four years ago I launched my first campaign for governor. I met with families, farmers, ranchers, seniors, veterans, small business owners and countless others to listen to what issues concerned them. What Oklahomans told me is they were worried about the economy and whether or not they’d be able to keep their jobs. They were concerned about whether they’d be able to pay the bills and whether they could send their children to a good school that prepared them for success. And they were concerned -- even angry -- about the job-killing policies of President Obama and the direction our country was headed.
I listened. When I was elected your governor, I focused like a laser on getting our economy back on track. We cut taxes for families and businesses, reduced government regulation and bureaucracy, and balanced our budget by eliminating government waste. Those policies are working. In the last three years we've created 80,000 jobs, and the unemployment rate has fallen from over 7 percent to just 4.6 percent. Our fiscal house is once again in order; and our Rainy Day Savings Account has grown from just $2.03 to over $530 million.
We've focused on strengthening our schools, improving accountability in education, and ensuring that academic standards and curricula are controlled here in Oklahoma, NOT by bureaucrats in Washington, DC.
And we stood up to Washington – saying “NO” to Obamacare; “NO” to job-killing regulations from the EPA; and “NO” to any federal policy that oversteps the authorities clearly outlined in our Constitution.
Oklahoma is back on the right track. Our economy is growing and families are earning more. We are showing the rest of the nation that commonsense, conservative policies work.
Let’s make sure we continue to build on that forward momentum and ensure that the gains we have fought so hard for are not undone.
I humbly ask for your vote in today’s Republican Primary Election. Together, I know we can continue to make Oklahoma a better place to live, work and raise a family.
Sincerely,
 Governor Mary Fallin |
